Ploemeur market: discover fresh produce and local artisans

What could be better than shopping for fresh products under the Morbihan morning sun? Ploemeur’s markets are open three times a week, all year round. In winter, the markets are open from 8:15 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and in summer, from 7:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.!

The Ploemeur markets take place:

  • Mondays at Place Gustave Le Floc’h in Lomener;
  • Wednesdays on Place Falquerho;
  • Sunday mornings also at Place Falquerho, but with far more stalls;

If you’ve opted for a mobile home rental in Morbihan, local markets are the best way to fill your fridge with fresh produce. They give you the chance to meet local producers and share a warm moment between the stalls! Going to the markets is also a great way to discover the town of Ploemeur, combining business with pleasure.

We sometimes try to keep ourselves sensationally busy when we’re on vacation, but we also need to keep things simple to recharge our batteries. Strolling through the markets is an excellent activity near your campsite in Ploemeur.

Not only does it allow you to do your shopping, it also takes you to meet local artisans and producers. Discover the culinary specialties of Morbihan: Kouign Amann, far breton, buckwheat pancakes, andouille de Guéméné, etc. Talk to the artisans from Ploemeur and learn more about their traditional know-how.

From mid-July to mid-August, the Mairie organizes the Jeudis de Ploemeur. Meet up at the local harbours or in the town center from 7pm! Downtown Ploemeur, Fort-Bloqué, Lomener and Kerroch welcome you in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Musicians liven up the evenings with Breton music while you enjoy delicious local dishes by the water. An unforgettable experience in the heart of Brittany!
